A few more quickies

A lunchtime quickie, soon upstaged by more substantial pre-weekend fare this afternoon…

* Oh fucking yay. I see in my inbox *just now* that Abbywinters.com has nonconsensually added both my SFGate email address and my Tiny Nibbles email address to their mailing lists, at the same time. Rude, with a generous side of lamesauce. Can you possibly find *another* way to piss off a blogger?

* Something way happier: Don’t miss my exclusive interview with Daphne Rosen — and hardcore gallery — over at Fleshbot right now. Check out our Crush Object Exclusive, The Bodacious Daphne Rosen: More Than Just Boobs (Though Those Are Amazing Too). She’s surely stacked, and I of course had the audaciousness to ask her what she calls her breasts… That’s one of the many great things about having Kink.com in town with stepped-up production, getting to interview all these amazing performers when they come through town. Yay!

* You know, I’ve noticed that MTV is all over the new media space lately. They’re really understanding and owning the video arena in a way many other mainstream companies haven’t. I realized it when I found yet another video enterprise of theirs and blogged it at Flehbot as Seriously, WTF — Fur TV: Because Watching Puppets Fap Will Never Get Old.

* Tonight if you’re in SF and feel like going out, there’s a “Cheerleader Smackdown” at Annie’s Social Club (@ 9pm) between local badass burlesque acts The Cock Ts and the Diamond Daggers… Yowza! (thanks Evil Signtist!)

* Via Viviane — check out this great post by Chris Brogan, Some Differences Between Pitching Mainstream Press and Bloggers. “Lots of us can’t NOT blog. We love what we do. We’re obsessed with getting information out into the world. Desperate to be useful. I’d say that we’re like news junkies, only we’re really interested in how we can contribute to making the news.”

* Oregon’s new censorship law is censoring *books*. You know, those analog texty things people take on planes!? Suing against it are Powells Books, The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, Planned Parenthood, Dark Horse Comics and many more… How, exactly, to thay plan to determine, book by book, what is “obscene”?

* Not sex related, but scary ironic: Schneier on Security tells us all about the Sky Marshals on the No-Fly List, and how they are repeatedly not allowed to fly (thus making flights take off with no marshalls on board) because they can’t get their names off the “no fly list”. Ugh! (thanks Hacker Boy!)

  1. Violet, this is the first time I have posted a comment in response to one of your blog posts. You are one foxy lady. In response to your comment on Abby Winters: I don’t like the direction the site has taken since the AEE last year. I think the new front page is completely disrespectful to the models. I’m beginning to question if there even is a real Abby Winters.
