- My dear friend of 15+ years Charles Gatewood passed away. A warm, pervy and transgressive spark lives forever in my heart for him. We first bonded over ways we’d crossed paths with William Burroughs, and then pretty much everything else. He was also my favorite photographer to model for, and it is an honor to be in his books. There will be a memorial service for him at The Center for Sex and Culture, TBA.

- You know what really sucks? I know of some amazing indie sci-fi erotica that deserves to be nominated… “… politically motivated groups calling themselves the Sad Puppies and the Rabid Puppies have more or less successfully gamed the Hugo Award nominations, some of the most prestigious prizes in science fiction and fantasy. The Chuck Tingle book is one of their recommendations. What’s their motivation? The puppies oppose diversity initiatives and support lists that are dominated by white men. Their targets, which they call SJW for “social justice warriors,” are women, people of color, LGBT writers, editors and artists and the people who support them …”

- “… This tendency towards buffness is a cultural phenomenon defined by author and journalist Mark Simpson as “spornosexuality.” The term, denoting men who strive to look like sportsmen or porn stars, marks the next stage in the evolution of the preening, mediated “metrosexual”. Simpson first began writing about “sporno” culture in 2006, noting the rise in hypersexualised, homoprovocative imagery of sportsmen …”

- “The Utah lawmaker who introduced a state resolution declaring pornography a “public health crisis” has taken his opposition a step further. During a conservative talk radio appearance on Friday, state Rep. Todd Weiler (R) said that the internet, essentially, violates a person’s First Amendment rights by “delivering pornography” to people who don’t want to view it.”

- “Former House speaker Dennis Hastert, who less than a decade ago stood second in line to the presidency, was sentenced to 15 months in federal prison Wednesday for a bank fraud case linked to allegations he sexually abused teen boys more than 30 years ago. Federal Judge Thomas Durkin called Hastert, 74, a “serial child molester” and rejected a prosecutor’s recommendation of six months in prison on a banking charge that carries a maximum five-year sentence. The court also fined Hastert $250,000 and sentenced him to two years of supervised release after leaving prison. Hastert must register as a sex offender.”

- “If you’re wondering why my Louise Lush Facebook profile has been quiet lately it’s because I’m serving a seven day ban, in addition to being Realnamed last Thursday. I was also given a 3 day ban a couple of days prior. … In any case, I was banned for posting a link. There is nothing in the subsequent explanation of the ban that says you can’t post *links* to Facebook. I went and had a look at their community standards page and couldn’t find any mention of prohibited links.”

- “Germany is moving closer to reforming its old sex crime laws, making it easier to prosecute rapists and sex attackers, though Green and Left party politicians as well as women’s groups argue that the reforms need to put more emphasis on the perpetrator rather than the victim.”

Well, just offer the cat a fish, and it should drop the penis.
