Taken while experimenting with my new Sprint EVO — the sexiest Droid ever made. It goes on sale June 4. This pic was taken last night at a private party in an antique gallery. I set the phone on a table (the phone has a stand so it can sit upright vertically or horizontally, like a picture frame). The back camera is 8MP; the above pic was my first photo with the front-facing camera which is only 1.3MP but quite good. Below is my first photo with the camera — with my cat jumping in at the last minute to make the photo NSFW. Good kitteh!

Your cat is a smartypants.
ok violet! I take it back!
I blame society for making me so jaded.
Rick Santorum would not be amused. But I certainly am. Thanks for the kitty porn.
Rarely have I so envied a cat.
Ah, if only I hadn’t just purchased my BlackBerry in November, I’d consider a new phone. I don’t know why I didn’t just bite the bullet and drop the extra $20-30 on any of the Android phones.
Then again, I don’t hate my BlackBerry…just the browser on it.
Doug, take a look at the Droid Incredible. It is 90% identical to the EVO that Violet just got. It is 3G instead of 4G and doesn’t have the front-facing camera; it’s also a bit smaller (screen and dimensions) and lighter.
I am imagining something personal within that cleavage!
I use Verizon, and have since I was a sophomore in high school. It was just a southern Indiana thing. Verizon’s service was always better than that of AT&T (then Cingular). Sprint STILL can’t keep up with either of those companies back there, which is where my parents live.
Now that I’ve moved to Cincinnati, I keep seeing commercials for Cincinnati Bell and how “their 3G network is faster.” I just can’t shake the feeling that switching providers to one with a regional name would be a terrible idea.
I love the self-portrait with Kitty. You couldn’t have staged that if you’d tried!
coco, what are you talking about? I pay for my phone; I dropped all my phone sponsors. I’m not getting paid for this in any way. I was not given the phone by Google or Sprint. I have no affiliation with either of those companies. nor do I make any money off those companies, or anything in the Android marketplace.
also, when I did have phone sponsors, I made a full disclosure to readers every time I wrote something agreeable about the hardware.
what were you thinking? I just have a phone I finally really like.
Wow.
I mean… market to me, that’s fine. You have to pay the bills too, I understand. But don’t try to pretend it’s spontaneous brand loyalty or something. It’s tacky and makes me trust what I read here less.
okay, I’ll bite: who is your provider that is making for such loyalty?
also — thank you! :)
For the record, two things:
1) Even if it is the sexiest Droid, no amount of sexiness could get me to jump ship from my current provider.
2) Good kitteh indeed. I think the world could do with a little more NSFW Violet Blue.
