On set for Courtney Trouble’s “Bordello”

I’m not allowed to give away the good bits yet, but I did have fun shooting photos on the set with Eon McKai and Courtney Trouble for her upcoming film, Bordello. I’m headed back there this afternoon, and I’m live uploading a bit on my Flickr stream. I don’t live upload anything NSFW, so don’t get your hopes too high, but I do have some juicy and very fun shots for you after the jump. While on set I found myself in a conversation with 5-6 women who are professional sex workers; escorts, dominatrixes, peep show workers… Each there to do a scene for the film. Not for the money, for the act of being in a queer-positive porn film. Because it means something to them. And one of them said the most interesting thing. When all asked about their work and relationship with their families, one girl responded:

“Oh wow. My mom and dad don’t really know, but they have an idea. They just see me being really happy. And some day I’m going to be like, ‘hey mom and dad, remember that time when I was happy all the time and running around all smiling and busy with work and being creative?’ I mean, I love saying ‘no dad — I’ll pick up the dinner this time!’ And buying my mom presents. I’ve never been happier in my entire life. I’ve never been more aware of my body and how to make choices about it in my life. And I’ve never been so financially secure in my entire life.”
