Image: my pal Dacia making out with girls at a convention — um, sadly, not ETech or SXSW. “You can’t see in this photo, but look at the brunette (her name is Marigold) and then make your conclusions about where my right hand is. Um, my thumb is on her clit.”
Back from ETech, getting ready to pack for SXSW, needing to finalize prep for my panels, obsessing about boys, wishing I didn’t have to decide what to wear every day for the next five days, looking at my to-do list, sipping absinthe alone at home and knowing I’ll miss the absinthe part but not the alone or obsessing… Bleah! Clearly I need a *real* job. Here are some links you’ll enjoy:
* First, the sooper creepy non-sex link: Mystery of three right feet washed up on Canadian islands. “The first was washed up in August on an isolated island in British Columbia. A 12-year-old girl beachcombing with her family found a size 12 running shoe with a human right foot still inside. Six days later a couple hiking around coves on another remote island found another size 12 right foot in a trainer under a tree trunk. Then, last month, another right foot was spotted, this time bobbing about in the water off a third island.”
* On a *much* sexier note, my longtime, dear friend Alison Tyler has published her story form my most recent (edited) anthology Best Women’s Erotica 2008 on her text-nasty blog — for a taste of what’s in the book, do read I didn’t Mean to Fuck All of Them(!) And yes, I make sure in the contracts that all my authors’ permissions revert back to them upon publication, because I’m like that.
* Why oh why oh why do I have to be missing the Naughty Librarians’ Convention 2008 here in SF this saturday? Wah! Boo!
* On Fleshbot we posted recently How Fuckable is Your Country: Latin Edition, which then made me curious… how fuckable is the world? It’s been too long for me, obviously. So I peeped the just-released results of Durex condoms’ yearly worldwide survey (2007-8) to see who’s having sex, what kind, and where. Oh noes! I am sad for the US. And worse — it’s little better in the UK! My hopes and dreams, dashed. And no, I’m not moving to Greece anytime soon…
* My Justin.tv channel is getting more interesting as we work out the bugs toward my livestreaming adventures…
* ZOMFG — my pal Thomas interviewed Maria Beatty. Jealous.
* I like Brian Rawson‘s photography. Especially this one and this one. Go Long Island Roller Rebels!
* Dig: Viva — a clip of fun, sexy 1960s lolsexploitation (via). (wthef is my YouTube embed function still fubar!? argh.)
I hope you don’t get a real job. I like what you do. I certainly hope you find a way to be financially stable while continuing along this path. I guess I’ll just have to go buy a couple of your books and hope that’s a start in the right direction.
