Fleshmap is really, really cool. I could play with this site for hours, and also their odd nipple organizer; gotta love the Body Rebus! Fleshmap: Studies of Desire is a series of projects created by Fernanda Viégas and Martin Wattenberg. The two artists are known for their pioneering work in data visualization, which has been exhibited in venues such as the New York Museum of Modern Art, the London Institute of Contemporary Arts, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Above are screeenshots from their insanely fascinating Touch series. This is via Steve Dekorte, via HB:
We asked hundreds of people how much they like being caressed on various parts of their body, and how exciting it is to touch different places on their lovers. Their answers, a total of 33,871 ratings covering 707 points on male and female bodies, provide a collective portrait of desire. In Skin to Skin, compare men and women, touching and being touched. In Sorting out Desire, explore an atlas of excitement.
Very interesting study and cool website for sure! It amazes me what people come up with these days. Technology at it’s best. What next!?! I’m waiting. Lol.
Font identifying software at http://www.myfonts.com/
Suggests “Baskerville Nr 1 SB Regular italic” but I think it might be another Baskerville italic font. The site will suggest others if you load up an image.
Anyway now you know how to find it out for yourself…
Also, does anyone know what is the font used on this website ?
Look at this:
http://www.fleshmap.com/touch/heat_red_550/small_female_front_touch.jpg
This is where guys like touching women.
And now this:
http://www.fleshmap.com/touch/heat_red_550/small_female_front_be_touched.jpg
This is where girls want guys to touch them.
So…we guys are supposedly bad at sex ? That’s not what those images are sayin’.
I just wanna know — ladies, what’s up with the right breast!? it’s the clear winner.
Cool website! And it shows what simple creatures we men are! :)
No foot fetishists, apparently.
My first thought was “hm, so why do I shave my legs?”
I’m surprised the toes weren’t rated higher.
