It’s here! Lush, gorgeous, arousing: Best Women’s Erotica 2010 (also: UK)! I couldn’t resist doing not one but two podcasts reading from the book to celebrate its release — and give you a taste of a book I am uniquely proud of. It’s already getting a great response on Twitter: listen in on what the reviewers are reading and talking about.
In Open Source Sex 71, I give you a taste of each story in my handpicked, heart and soul collection of the best erotica by women, for women that the globe has to offer. It might be the most daring entry in the series yet. I also explain why I don’t put all of my Open Source Sex podcasts on iTunes…

This is it — the story I alluded to on twitter when I was editing the book which became infamous before I was even done with the manuscript. It’s one of my favorite stories from the collection: the Apple Genius Bar tryst. In Open Source Sex 72 I read Emerald’s story “Shift Change” where a woman goes in for MacBook Pro repair and gets better service than anyone could imagine. It’s amazing that those Geniuses can do, indeed.

Bonus: listen to an unforgettable from Best Women’s Erotica 2009 (also UK). After hearing “Fly” by Valerie Alexander you’ll never look at Peter, Wendy and Tiger Lily the same way again, and I think it’s one of the hottest stories I’ve ever read.

Violet, thanks so much. I really feel honored that you wanted to read “Shift Change” for Open Source Sex, and it was really a delight to hear you do so!
It was also great to see you on Oprah yesterday!
Take care.
I’m still reading the book and have been skipping from front to back but have to say that after reading “Shift Change” I haven’t walked by an Apple Store and not thought about that story. Love it!
I’ve got the book last saturday. In order not to finish the book too fast, I limited myself to max 2 stories a day. The stories I read till now, where really hot. And I’m anxiously looking forward for the next one!
