Some posts here get a lot of attention: these are the most commented on, shared, popular, controversial and highest-read blog posts recently here on Tiny Nibbles: open source sex. The comment community here is fantastic, vast and diverse — feel free to join in anytime! You can also follow the blog posts here up to the minute on Twitter, or follow my microblog and status updates on my Twitter account where you can interact with me and see what people have to say as they pass these hot posts to friends. Here are the biggest recent hits here — some may surprise you:
* Hands down everyone’s favorite post is where I take Cosmopolitan Magazine’s article about why women should date nerds, and I translate it for the real world. It’s insulting, and my translation had people laughing and crying with equal measure. Then, I re-wrote the article the way we’d want to see it. Love it? Yes, you did. Read: Seven Real Reasons to Date a Geek Boy.
* And what happens when someone tries out Cosmo’s sex advice in real life? If it’s Marty Beckerman and his girlfriend (who rightfully refused to be on camera), the results are drop-deal hilarious and kind of… scary. Watch the video in Marty Beckerman Follows Cosmo’s Sex Advice.
* When I was on NPR’s All Things Considered about the internet’s sexual history recently, I put together this very popular timeline of the history of the internet and sex. Thanks to everyone who contributed!
* This post about bisexuality might have been one of the most popular posts of all time on this blog; it’s at least in the top ten. Many people were touched by this, and we had some great conversations in the comments.
* I got a lot of thankful email and happy Tweets about featuring that the Feminist Porn Awards Announces Their 2010 Nominations.
* Many readers enjoyed the results of dating site OKCupid’s findings on dating, age, sexual experimentation, and casual sex among women in the United States, which is absolutely fascinating. Lots to think about; I could see a great discussion on this.
* I get a lot of feedback about certain porn posts in my inbox, rather than in the comments here; it’s always interesting to see which ones strike your fancy in a private way. Recent ones have included Men, Objectified: The Men of Porn (Blog), my Porn Is Good for You post, and this adorable erotic vintage clip from the 1910s — a hundred years ago!
* Kissing tips, oh yes — many readers loved when I dished out the kissing tips for Em and Lo on The Sundance Channel’s website in “How not to kiss like a zombie and other helpful kissing tips.” They interviewed me about Seal It With A Kiss, and everyone was a winner.
Not sure whether this is porn-tastic, but it’s certainly amusing:
