This is pretty exciting: seeing tasteful porn for the iPad. I found out about the brand new David’s Nudes iPad site yesterday and I’m loving it. It’s not a collection of re-used porn movie clips (like all the other iPad porn sites) but instead it is a showcase of tasteful, explicit erotic photo (and video) shoots with models from around the world. Sophisticated eros, not recycled footage. Pleasingly, the photo quality is very high like Hegre or Met Art, but the models are so refreshing compared to Hegre. Lots, lots, lots of cute American girls. And all the video is in HD.
I emailed a bit with David: he’s super-nice, and a passionate photo geek. It’s a paysite (still lots of freebees to ogle) but I think it’s really cool that members get unlimited DRM-free access to his nonfiction e-book guide to erotic photography. He’s also growong the book, and publishes new chapters online as he finishes them. Learn Nude Photography is also available on Lulu and Amazon Kindle — I love supporting the work of other digital indie self-publishers.
