- Scottish campaigners are calling for internet service providers to filter pornographic content amid fears that police are not clamping down on so-called “rape porn”. Organisations and individuals working to eliminate violence against women say not enough is being done to tackle extreme pornography, which became illegal under Scots law in 2011.

- Porn star Danny Wylde writes about porn sex versus real sex, censorship and porn stars taking on responsibilities for the context of what they do and how it affects the way people learn about sex. “Are we arming the youth? Perhaps not explicitly. We’re not explicitly marketing porn to them either. But kids are interested in sex and they’re smart. They’re going to find porn because it’s there. My hope is that they’ll find the context too. And this is where I feel responsibility shifts to the individual.”

- No one knows how to write an exploitative headline like the Mirror. Except maybe the Daily Mail… Regardless, it’s a cool success story and it makes me wish we had a show like Sex Toy Stories in the US.

- Celebrity sex tapes that ‘accidentally’ leak? Yeah, right. The people who really do have sex on camera for a living dish on why these tapes are stupid – but inevitable. (So, can you stop calling them “tapes” now?)

- I missed the release of this; porn short “Occupy” was shot by Shine so it should be excellent. “When an Occupy protester (Maggie Mayhem) dares to strike back at a brutal cop (Kathryn Dupri), the chase is on. Any sailor who has worked 60 hour weeks at sea AND stood 50 – 60 hours a week watch for two or three (or five or six) months non-stop can tell you about “Sleep Deprived”. Ninety to one hundred and ten hour weeks at sea are routine.
Any “ground-pounder”, Army or Marines can tell you about weeks of patrol with one or two hours of sleep per day (IF that).
The article on sleep deprivation might explain (NOT justify) the behavior of GI’s on liberty the past few … millenia.
Fatigue is a cumulative issue. It takes days, or even weeks to recover. One does NOT “catch up” with an eight hour night and go back to work the next day. The human body takes as long to recharge as it did to discharge and drain.
GI’s ARE human.
Was nice to see a balanced view from the BBC on the anti-porn debate and whether it harms people –

Quite rare to have an open and honest debate with some factual evidence backed up by studies to counter the hysteria from the anti-porn lobby
